Mind Slaves
Mind Slaves are lobotomized Imperamen prisoners fitted with digital circular monitors powered by the Integrated Technological Organ System (ITOS). These monitors completely cover their mouth, nose, and the back of their neck, serving as a neural interface that connects their brain to The Locker. Through Neural Induction, a non-lobotomized Imperaman can telepathically control the Mind Slave’s body, using them as a physical extension to perform tasks deemed too dangerous, inconvenient, or undesirable to do in person.
The monitor functions as both a control system and a communication device, capable of vocalizing the controlling Imperaman’s voice, displaying a digital projection of their face, or even projecting a full-body Holospecter. Additionally, the digital monitor over the mouth displays the mouth of the controlling Imperaman, mouthing their words in real-time, while their voice is projected from an internal speaker system within the monitor. Mind Slaves are considered disposable tools, stripped of autonomy and free will, reduced to mere puppets for their controllers.
-
1. Neural Induction & Remote Possession
The Mind Slave’s monitor directly links their brain to The Locker, allowing an Imperaman operator to assume full control over their body.
The controlling Imperaman can move, speak, and react through the Mind Slave as if inhabiting the body themselves.
This allows Imperamen to perform tasks from a safe distance, eliminating physical risk and effort.
2. Digital Monitor Capabilities
The monitor serves as a communication relay, able to:
Broadcast the controller’s voice through an internal speaker system, allowing them to speak through the Mind Slave.
Display a digital representation of the Imperaman’s face, making interactions appear more natural.
Project a full-body Holospecter, allowing the controller’s image to appear next to the Mind Slave.
Display the Imperaman’s mouth in real-time over the Mind Slave’s mouth, visually syncing with the words being spoken.
3. Physical Execution of Tasks
Mind Slaves can be used for:
Labor & Construction Work – Performing exhausting, repetitive tasks in dangerous environments.
Military Operations – Acting as expendable soldiers, assassins, or suicide operatives in combat.
Espionage & Infiltration – Entering hostile areas where the controlling Imperaman cannot go.
Personal Errands & Service – Serving the daily needs of their controllers, acting as bodyguards, assistants, or enforcers.
-
1. Lobotomized State & Loss of Autonomy
Before becoming a Mind Slave, Imperamen prisoners undergo a complete frontal lobotomy, removing all traces of independent thought, memory, and resistance.
This renders them completely obedient, unable to act unless controlled by a non-lobotomized Imperaman.
If left inactive, a Mind Slave simply stands motionless, waiting for input.
2. Physical Decay & Maintenance
Since they lack self-preservation instincts, Mind Slaves are often overworked, pushed beyond their natural limits, and disposed of when no longer useful.
Without maintenance, they degrade quickly, succumbing to exhaustion, starvation, or mechanical failure of their monitor.
To prolong their use, some are outfitted with cybernetic enhancements, reinforcing muscle function and durability.
Mind Slaves are fed through tubes that directly supply nutrients to their stomach, eliminating the need for traditional eating.
3. Sensory Feedback & Pain Suppression
While Mind Slaves retain functional nervous systems, their pain receptors can be manually disabled by their controller.
This makes them ideal for hazardous tasks, as they can endure severe injuries, extreme temperatures, and high-impact trauma without resistance.
Some controllers, however, reactivate pain receptors for entertainment, discipline, or psychological torture.
-
1. Disruption of Neural Link
Mind Slaves are fully dependent on their digital monitor—if it is damaged, disabled, or removed, the neural link is severed, leaving them in an unresponsive vegetative state.
Strong electromagnetic pulses (EMP) or hacking techniques can interfere with the control signal, disrupting the connection between the Mind Slave and their Imperaman master.
2. Physical Limitations
Since Mind Slaves are biological bodies, they still require food and water, making them unsustainable for indefinite use.
If neglected, they weaken over time, eventually collapsing due to organ failure, dehydration, or exhaustion.
3. Potential for Resistance & Instability
In rare cases, Mind Slaves experience residual memory flashes, leading to unpredictable behavior or momentary acts of self-preservation.
If a controller is disconnected unexpectedly, the Mind Slave may revert to involuntary reflex actions, sometimes becoming aggressive or erratic.
-
1. Social Status & Perception
Mind Slaves are not viewed as individuals but as expendable property.
Many Imperamen see them as necessary tools, though some criticize their use as inhumane and excessive.
Some non-Imperamen factions have condemned the practice, calling it a form of slavery and bio-horror experimentation.
2. Underground Resistance & Liberation Efforts
Despite their near-complete lack of free will, certain resistance groups attempt to rescue and rehabilitate Mind Slaves.
Experimental neural restoration procedures have been attempted to reverse lobotomization, though success is limited.
Some rebellious scientists seek to develop AI-based consciousness injections, granting Mind Slaves artificial intelligence autonomy instead of direct control.
3. Illegal Market & Trade
Mind Slaves have become a commodity in underground networks, with criminal organizations hacking and reprogramming them for illicit activities.
Some are modified into permanent enforcers, their pain receptors left active to ensure absolute obedience.
Black-market modifications include body augmentation, synthetic muscle reinforcement, and combat-based enhancements.
