Digital Spirits
Digital Spirits are avatars of individuals within The Locker, an expansive virtual space that exists within the collective neural network of all human consciousness. When a person enters The Locker using a Neural Emulator, their mind is projected as a Digital Spirit, allowing them to explore, interact, and manipulate the digital environment as if it were reality.
Every Digital Spirit is a manifestation of the user’s subconscious, retaining their memories, emotions, and personality, but with unique capabilities tied to their experience within The Locker. As they navigate this realm, they can share information, alter the environment, and even engage in combat.
Each Digital Spirit is identified by Deiadon Sigils, floating stars above their head that represent their power and influence over The Locker. The more Sigils a Spirit possesses, the greater their ability to manipulate the realm, shaping it to their will and navigating its ever-shifting landscapes with ease.

1. Interaction & Communication
Digital Spirits can communicate with one another, share memories, emotions, and knowledge, making The Locker a hub of collaboration, learning, and espionage.
Conversations within The Locker can be instantaneous and immersive, allowing for deep-level information exchange that surpasses traditional communication methods.
2. Memory & Time Distortion
The Locker is not bound by time, meaning Digital Spirits can access memories from the past, present, or even potential futures.
Spirits can explore historical records, simulate events, or experience knowledge from long-forgotten eras.
Time moves differently in The Locker—years within the realm can pass in mere minutes in the real world, making it possible to learn, train, or explore without losing valuable time.
3. Reality Manipulation & Environment Control
The Locker is an unpredictable space, constantly shifting due to the conflicting realities of multiple minds.
Digital Spirits with higher numbers of Deiadon Sigils can manipulate the digital landscape, altering the environment, generating new spaces, or reshaping entire dimensions within the realm.
Users can create private servers, designing their own zones within The Locker for personal study, training, or strategic planning.
4. Combat & Cyber Piracy
Digital Spirits are not just passive entities—they can engage in combat, battle for dominance, or even hack into the minds of others.
Some Spirits specialize in cyber piracy, stealing information, resources, or control over enemy systems.
If a Digital Spirit is "killed" within The Locker, the user wakes up in the real world. However, repeated deaths in The Locker can cause severe psychological trauma, insanity, or even real-world death.
5. Mind Possession & Telepathic Control
Some powerful Digital Spirits can do more than just exist within The Locker—they can hack into the minds of others, taking control of their physical bodies in the real world.
This ability is often compared to possession, allowing a Spirit to override another person’s consciousness and act through them as if they were a puppet.
While difficult to master, this ability makes certain Digital Spirits incredibly dangerous, as they can influence real-world events from within The Locker.

1. Deiadon Sigils – The Measure of Influence
Deiadon Sigils are floating stars above a Digital Spirit’s head, representing their experience, power, and influence within The Locker.
Spirits naturally gain more Sigils the longer they spend in The Locker, increasing their ability to navigate, manipulate, and dominate the digital space.
2. Levels of Power Based on Sigils
Novice Spirits (0-2 Sigils)
Basic users with limited control over The Locker.
Can communicate, observe, and interact, but lack the ability to alter the environment.
Intermediate Spirits (3-5 Sigils)
Can modify small portions of The Locker, altering localized environments.
Able to access deeper layers of historical memory and engage in basic combat or data retrieval missions.
Advanced Spirits (6-9 Sigils)
Capable of rewriting entire sections of The Locker, creating and destroying environments at will.
Can engage in cyber piracy, memory alteration, and psychological manipulation.
Have greater resistance to being forcibly ejected from The Locker.
Master Spirits (10+ Sigils)
Near-godlike control over The Locker’s laws and structure.
Can alter time perception, reshape entire landscapes, and override weaker Spirits' abilities.
Some are rumored to have the power to permanently erase other Spirits from The Locker, preventing them from ever returning.

1. Death in The Locker
If a Digital Spirit is destroyed within The Locker, the user wakes up in the real world as if waking from a dream.
However, repeated deaths can cause severe neural strain, leading to insanity, hallucinations, or even death.
2. Corruption & Rogue Spirits
Some Digital Spirits lose themselves to The Locker, becoming rogue entities that no longer follow the rules of reality.
These corrupted Spirits can become predatory, attacking others, stealing Sigils, or trapping weaker Spirits within their own warped domains.
The most dangerous Spirits are those that completely sever their real-world consciousness, existing solely as digital entities, making them immortal within The Locker but forever lost to the real world.
3. Possession & Mental Takeover
The ability to possess real-world bodies makes Digital Spirits a major security risk.
If a powerful Spirit takes control of a user’s consciousness, they can override their actions, implant commands, or manipulate them into doing things they wouldn’t normally do.
Some organizations have begun to monitor Neural Emulator activity, fearing that some of the most powerful Digital Spirits are already influencing real-world events from inside The Locker.
