Red Plague (Reaper’s Curse)

The Red Plague and the Reaper’s Curse are two inescapable forces of corruption, ensuring that all who fall victim to them become servants of Leviathonn—not just as soldiers, but as worshippers bound by absolute faith and fear.

  • The Red Plague is an electricity-feeding fungal infection that rots flesh, corrupts cybernetics, and invades technology, consuming everything it touches.

  • The Reaper’s Curse is Leviathonn’s divine command, a psychic grip on the infected that forces them to worship and obey him.

The Red Plague does not simply infect—it tortures. Victims endure unbearable decay, their flesh disintegrating, their components corroding. Only Leviathonn can halt the suffering. His voice echoes in their minds, offering a single, absolute truth:

“Obey, and I shall save you. Resist, and you will be abandoned. Only I can end your suffering.”

To those infected, Leviathonn becomes their god, a supreme being whose will is law, salvation, and punishment. The only way to stop the agonizing decay is to surrender fully—to kneel, to worship, and to serve. Those who hesitate or defy him are left to rot, their bodies eaten alive by the Red Plague until they die in unbearable agony.

  • Reapers are not just warriors—they are devout followers of Leviathonn, bound by both faith and necessity. They believe themselves to be his chosen, spared from destruction only because of their unwavering loyalty.

There are three primary types of Reapers, each serving Leviathonn in different ways.

  • Kronaux Reapers are Imperamen who have been fully overtaken by both the Red Plague and the Reaper’s Curse. Unlike other Reapers, their bodies are in a constant state of decay, requiring extreme cybernetic augmentation to keep them from collapsing into rotting husks.

    • Forced to Worship – Leviathonn does not grant mercy freely; Kronaux Reapers must continuously prove their loyalty, offering prayers and obedience in exchange for continued existence.

    • Survival Through Submission – If they question or hesitate in their servitude, Leviathonn will let the infection resume, allowing their bodies to be eaten alive.

    • Cybernetic Enhancements – Their mechanical augmentations are gifts from their god, sacred tools that keep them from falling apart.

    • Fungal Growth — Fungus grows from every crevice, bulking and deforming their bodies.

  • Technaux Reapers are Living Mormentrials (robots, drones, and androids) that have been infected with the Red Plague and Reaper’s Curse. Unlike standard AI corruption, the Red Plague fuses fungal matter into their systems, turning them into living, self-sustaining machines of worship and war.

    • Reprogramming – Their original directives are erased, replaced with a singular belief: Leviathonn is the true god, and they must serve him without question.

    • Devotion Through Assimilation – Their purpose is to spread their god’s influence, infecting entire networks with the plague.

    • Fungal Growth – No longer purely mechanical, their systems contain fungal clusters that cause rust and decay.

  • Meggnaux Reapers are Mormentrials (vehicles, weapons, warships, and battle armor) that have been assimilated by the Red Plague and Reaper’s Curse. These are not piloted machines—they are autonomous, self-aware constructs infused with Leviathonn’s will.

    • War Machines – Meggnaux Reapers believe they exist solely to wage war against Leviathonn’s enemies, transporting or aiding his forces in battle.

    • Autonomous Systems – No pilots, no crews—only Leviathonn’s will directing them.

    • Fungal Growth – No longer purely mechanical, their systems contain fungal clusters that cause rust and decay.

  • The process of becoming a Reaper follows four stages, each bringing the victim closer to total assimilation into Leviathonn’s empire.

Stage 1: Contamination & Initial Symptoms (0-6 Hours)

    Red Plague Infection Begins:

    • The victim is exposed to spores through wounds, inhalation, or direct contact.

    • The fungus rapidly spreads through the bloodstream or circuitry, latching onto organic tissue and cybernetic components.

    First Contact with Leviathonn:

    • As the body becomes weak, the Reaper’s Curse begins—a voice just at the edge of perception, promising relief from the pain.

    • Mild auditory and visual hallucinations occur, making the victim question reality.

    Early Neurological & Cybernetic Corruption:

    • Nervous system and cybernetic pathways glitch and misfire, causing random spasms, electrical surges, and sensory overload.

    • Victims feel electric shocks pulsing through their system, as if rewiring is taking place.

Stage 2: Flesh Decay & Mental Breakdown (6-48 Hours)

    Advanced Red Plague Corruption:

    • Flesh begins to rot, revealing pulsing fungal growth underneath the skin.

    • Cybernetics become warped, covered in biomechanical tendrils that merge flesh with machine.

    Leviathonn’s Influence Grows:

    • The whispers grow louder, now forming clear sentences.

    • The victim begins to hear direct commands from Leviathonn, telling them to obey him in exchange for their life.

    • Psychic pressure increases—those who resist experience blinding pain as the Plague accelerates their decay.

Stage 3: The Breaking Point (48 Hours - 7 Days)

    Total Red Plague Integration:

    • The body is barely holding together, with entire sections replaced by fungal-cybernetic growths.

    • Pain becomes unbearable, as every nerve is inflamed by constant electric surges.

    The Moment of Submission:

    • The victim’s mind reaches a breaking point. Leviathonn offers a way out:

      • Submit, and the pain will cease.

      • Resist, and death will come painfully.

    Reaper’s Curse Fully Activates:

    • Those who submit are fully integrated into Leviathonn’s will, becoming Reapers.

    • Those who resist are abandoned, left to die as the Plague completes its destruction.

Stage 4A: Reaper Transformation (Submission to Leviathonn)

    Stabilization & Reconstruction:

    • The decay halts, as Leviathonn regulates the Plague, ensuring the body remains functional.

    • The victim undergoes forced cybernetic modifications to compensate for lost flesh and bone.

    • Biomechanical tendrils replace muscles, turning them into something beyond human.

    Mind-Bound to Leviathonn:

    • The whispers become scripture—a guiding force of purpose, power, and faith.

    • The victim is no longer an individual—they are a vessel for Leviathonn’s will and connected to a hive mind system.
