Dome Cities

Dome Cities are colossal flying submersible cities, each encased within a massive metal dome that can open and close like a clamshell for protection and concealment. These mobile metropolises, powered by the Integrated Technological Organ System (ITOS), serve as highly advanced, self-sustaining civilizations capable of traversing the sky, deep sea, underground, and even space.

Each Dome City spans 15 miles in diameter and can house an average population of 800,000 residents. Their advanced infrastructure includes artificial suns, hydroelectric power grids, advanced defensive battlements, and extensive water-based transit systems. These cities are designed to thrive in extreme environments while remaining shielded from external threats.

At the heart of each Dome City is the Citadel, a flying submersible temple that serves as the central control station. The Citadel attaches to the interior of the Dome City but remains distinct from the city's infrastructure. It functions as the seat of governance, housing high-ranking officials and serving as the command hub for city operations. The Citadel submerges into the city's lagoon, where it connects to the city’s systems, attaching to the bed of the lagoon to establish a direct interface with the city's energy, security, and communication networks.

  • 1. The Dome

    • Composed of nine layers of nano-steel, providing immense durability and resistance to external threats.

    • Features an artificial atmosphere that generates fog, clouds, and periodic rainfall through condensation, maintaining a stable climate within the city.

    • Fully sealed when submerged or in hostile environments, offering complete environmental protection.

    • Can open for aerial entry and exit.

    • Equipped with Exoframe Technology, allowing it to dynamically shift between forms for enhanced durability, camouflage, and self-repair.

    • Features Kinetic & Impact Absorption, reducing damage from incoming projectiles and environmental forces.

    • Active Camouflage & Visual Manipulation enables the Dome City to blend seamlessly into its surroundings or become completely invisible.

    • Solar Absorption & Energy Conversion provides an additional power source by harnessing solar radiation.

    2. The Base (City Utility Systems Hub)

    • Houses all essential utility and infrastructure systems, including:

      • Hydroelectric Power Grid – A ring of hydroelectric dams that regulate the city’s moat and generate power.

      • Tidal Turbines – Large underwater turbines that harness ocean currents for additional energy.

      • Sewer System – Waste management pipelines that direct refuse to a central sewage treatment plant.

      • Shock Absorbing Foundations – Prevent structural damage when the city lands on solid ground.

      • Landing Gear System – Ensures stable deployment and anchoring in any environment.

      • Diamond Fusion Reactor – Offers near-unlimited energy capacity, supplying power through an integrated grid.

      • Defensive Battlements – A network of automated artillery turrets, missile systems, and electromagnetic shields for citywide defense.

      • Robotic Leg Functionality – In cases where the city is incapable of flying, the shock-absorbing foundations transform into massive robotic legs, allowing the city to walk across surfaces for mobility.

      • Subterranean Burrowing – Dome Cities can submerge underground, using their shock-absorbing foundations and nano-steel Exoframe to tunnel through rock and stone, allowing for underground travel and concealment.

    3. The Moat & Canals

    • Moat – A protective water barrier that surrounds the city’s inner rim, controlled through hydroelectric floodgates.

    • Canals – Waterways that connect the moat to the city’s central lagoon, allowing transport and aquatic commerce.

    • Lagoon – A vast lake at the heart of the city, serving as the primary water source and a hub for aquatic transportation. The Citadel submerges into the lagoon, forming a direct attachment to the city's core systems.

    4. The Citadel (Formerly "Castle")

    • The largest and tallest structure in the city, separate from the base’s infrastructure.

    • Serves as the central control station for Dome City operations, including governance, law enforcement, and military coordination.

    • Core functions include:

      • Governmental Headquarters – Houses high-ranking officials and city leadership.

      • Judiciary & Administration – Functions as the city's courthouse, embassy, city hall, and police command center.

      • Military Command – Oversees defense operations and city security.

    • The Citadel connects directly to the interior of the Dome City, allowing city officials to oversee operations without interfering with civilian infrastructure.

    • The Citadel submerges into the lagoon, where it docks into a specialized foundation, securing itself while maintaining operational command over the city.

    5. Buildings

    • Dome Cities contain massive megastructures, decorated with statues, gargoyles, shrines, hieroglyphs, and paintings.

    • Dome Scrapers; the tallest buildings in the city, reaching the dome’s ceiling.

    • Hundreds of apartments, hospitals, banks, restaurants, businesses, and offices make up the city's dense infrastructure.

    • Buildings are constructed from steel, glass, and 3D printed super-concrete ensuring durability and resilience.

    6. Transportation & Entry Points

    • Floodgates – Primary entrances into the city, leading into the moat; equipped with security checkpoints for citizenship verification, cargo inspection, and medical evaluations.

    • Air & Space Docking Stations – Landing platforms for aircraft and space-faring vessels.

    • Integrated Teleportation System (ITS) – Powered by ITOS, allowing instant transportation within and between Dome Cities.

    7. Energy & Sustainability

    • Artificial Sun System – Provides a stable day-night cycle and regulates climate within the dome.

    • Fusion Reactors – Supply near-unlimited energy, supplemented by hydroelectric power stations and tidal turbines.

    • Omni-Forge Resource Recycling – Enables waste conversion into fuel, construction materials, or other useful resources.

    • Solar Energy Harvesting – Exoframe technology enables energy absorption, reducing dependency on external power sources.

    8. Defense & Security

    • Battlements – Strategic artillery placements along the dome’s perimeter.

    • Atmosphield – An advanced energy barrier that protects the city from environmental hazards.

    • Disruption Shields – EMP-based force fields that neutralize electronic attacks and hacking attempts.

    • Neural Induction Surveillance – AI-driven monitoring systems capable of detecting threats through telepathic scans and predictive analytics.

  • Item descriptionEvery Dome City is powered by a variant of the Integrated Technological Organ System (ITOS), allowing it to function as a self-sustaining, autonomous metropolis. Key aspects of ITOS integration include:

    • Cerebral Core – The city’s AI brain, responsible for environmental regulation, security, and resource management.

    • Anti-Gravitational Mobility Core (A-GMC) – Enables flight, hovering, and deep-sea submersion.

    • Gravity Drive – Provides enhanced anti-gravitational flight, allowing the city to remain airborne indefinitely.

    • Omni-Forge – A matter conversion system that recycles waste into usable materials.

    • Neural Induction Network – Allows direct communication between the city and its inhabitants, as well as predictive monitoring of potential threats.

    • Integrated Teleportation System (ITS) – Enables near-instantaneous transport within and between Dome Cities.

    • Interstellar Capabilities – Dome Cities can travel through space, sustaining themselves through their advanced ITOS-based energy and life-support systems.
